BSB50820 Diploma of Project Management

The Diploma of Project Management can help you cement your project management career! It is ideal for project team leaders and project managers wishing to advance their skills to the level of a professional project manager.  The student will gain the skills to oversee projects to meet goals and objectives of the organisation.  It will provide a theoretical understanding of project management and practical tools and skills for implementation in the workplace.

The course is based on the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and follows the project management lifecycle from project planning and governance considerations through to project implementation and project completion.

The Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) endorses courses that demonstrate throughout their material that outcomes of their courses are aligned to the PMBOK®.

The Diploma of Project Management Practice at the Pro Leaders Academy is endorsed by the Australian Institute of Project Management. (AIPM)


This qualification is ideal if you are working in or wanting to work in project leadership and management roles with responsibilities for achieving project objectives.  It will allow you to advance your skills to:

  • determine project objectives, identify project lifecycles, and the scope and changes throughout the lifecycle;
  • plan, implement and manage costs, scope and timeframes of the project;
  • manage the procurement process within the project; and
  • identify risks and develop risk management strategies.

BSBPMG534 – Manage project human resources;

BSBPMG535 – Manage project information and communication;

BSBPMG536 – Manage project risk; and

BSBPMG540 – Manage project integration.

Elective Units:

BSBPMG537 – Manage project procurement;

BSBPMG538 – Manage project stakeholder engagement;

BSBPMG539 – Manage project governance; and

BSBTWK502 – Manage team effectiveness.
